Adding Members to Pe-Assigned Breakout Rooms
You can do this while setting up Zoom in advance, you can bring student CMU IT Account data from the Registration Office http://www1.reg.cmu.ac.th/registrationoffice/searchcourse.php which will have details as below.
Limitations
Adding is only available for participants with a Zoom Account.
Require a .csv (excel) file for adding
In the case of Schedule Recurring Meeting, adding members to breakout rooms in advance will affect every Recurring Meeting and cannot be changed to individual Meetings.
Adding members to Breakout Rooms in advance with a .csv (excel) file.
1. Enter the Zoom website and start configuring achedule a meeting
2. Breakout Room pre-assign
In the Meeting Option section, select breakout room pre-assign and then click on import from CSV
3. Download the sample file from the system
Download the sample file and add details of the participants to that file, then save it over the file
4. Download the CMU Account data of students from the Registration and Academic Services website
Go to the Registration Office website http://www1.reg.cmu.ac.th/registrationoffice/searchcourse.php
Login with your CMU Account
Search for your course and select the desired section
Click on the Download button, select the EXCEL menu (Log, CMU IT Account) and the system will download the file for you immediately.
Tip!! Change to English language and download EXCEL file (Log, CMU IT Account) to compare with the list obtained from MS Teams for score aggregation.
5. Upload the file
Editing Adding
Go to the Meeting tab, select the meeting you want to edit
Select Breakout Rooms, click on View Detail, then proceed to edit adding members
Once done, click Save.
Starting a Zoom meeting with pre-assigned breakout rooms
Start a Zoom meeting with a room that has pre-assigned breakout rooms.
Select the breakout rooms in the control bar to enter the created breakout rooms.
Click on 'Open All Rooms' to start using breakout rooms.
In case the pre-added list of names does not appear, proceed with the recovery process.
Recovering pre-assign breakout rooms
After starting to use breakout rooms, if you need to recover the added names or in cases where there are changes in breakout rooms or participants joining Zoom later, follow these steps.
Start the Zoom meeting with the pre-assigned breakout rooms where members were added in advance.
Click on 'Close All Rooms' to close all breakout rooms.
Select 'Recreate', then choose 'Recover to pre-assigned rooms'.
All participants will be placed in the breakout rooms as set by the host.
