# Get Started with SpeedGrader

### How SpeedGrader works

SpeedGrader displays all the information in the students' submissions for an assignment and saves it on the browser. This information includes the assignment or answer data, scores (both original scores and scores for newly submitted work), rubrics, and comments. This feature helps reduce the time it takes to load all the data and allows instructors to grade more efficiently without having to refresh the browser frequently.

In large-sized courses, it can affect the processing time of SpeedGrader. Assignments with more than 1,500 submissions will result in slower processing, and assignments with more than 2,500 submissions cannot be graded using SpeedGrader.

Therefore, Mango Canvas recommends dividing sections or groups of students in large-sized courses to ensure that the system can process and use SpeedGrader normally.

### Cautions!

Normally, the SpeedGrader tool is designed for a single instructor to grade and provide feedback. It is not recommended for courses with multiple instructors using SpeedGrader simultaneously. This is because it can impact data loading, updating and overlapping of the information. It may also affect the displayed grades in the Gradebook.

In cases where there are multiple graders, our team recommends limiting access to SpeedGrader in each section to only the responsible instructor.

### Moderated Grading

Ith SpeedGarder, moderated grading can be configured to assign scores. When the specified number of graders is reached, SpeedGrader will switch to read-only mode immediately.

### Additional Information

Instructors will not be able to delete students' submitted works or answers by themselves.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.tlic.cmu.ac.th/cmu-mango-canvas-manual/course-design/speedgrader/get-started-with-speedgrader.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
