# Importing Test or Quiz from Moodle

## Method 1: Aiken to QTI (suitable for Aiken format file)

At the present, Mango does not support importing Aiken format/Word file, so a third-party tool will be used for this method.

Instructions on how to import tests fro CMU Exam to Mango are as follow.

1. Go to Quiz in Moodle (KC/Exam) and select gear button on the right. Click Question Bank >> Export.

Export Question Bank from the selected course into .txt file (Aiken format)

2\. Use a third-party tool to convert Aiken format file into QTI format which is compatible with Mango.\

**Supported quiz type include 1) multiple choice, 2) true/false, and 3) multiple answer. The example of the format is in the link provided above.**

3. You will gen an .QTI file after conversion.

4. Import .QTI file into Mango by using Import Content

5. When the import is done, the quiz will appear and is ready to be edited or used.

## Method 2: Backup >> Specific

1. Backup content from Moodle course.

2. During the import process, choose "Select specific content", and hit import.

3. When the import is done, select content butoon will appear.

4. Select desired quizzes or all of them, and click "select content".&#x20;

6. The quiz will be imported and is ready to be edited ou used.
